Q: We have upgraded versaSRS HelpDesk, as per the supplied Upgrade Manual, however, when we run versaSRS HelpDesk we are experiencing 'Database Connection' problems for some of the Modules.
A: During the Upgrade of versaSRS HelpDesk, the method of configuring the Applications Settings, was conducted throught the use of the "System Management Console" (SMC) application.
Once changes are made to the versaSRS HelpDesk Application Settings, a RELOAD of these Settings needs to be Forced back to the application. To do this, follow these steps;
(1) The System Administrator, through the versaSRS HelpDesk Application, needs to force a RELOAD of the Global Settings – done through the ‘Administrator > System Tools > System Info’ menu --> then clicking the ‘Reload Global Settings’ button.
(2) System Operators Close and Re-Open their Application Sessions, or Refresh their current Session by pressing F5.
These steps need to be performed each time the Application Settings are changed through the SMC application.
