Browser Closes Immediately After Starting Application

Symptoms

Browser Window Closes Immediately After Starting Application or After Entering Login Details

Cause

Due to Pop-Up Blocking Software

Resolution

Please be aware that third party Pop-Up blocking software, as well as the in-built Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker component, can cause the browser to instantly close after entering login details or when you first start the application.

This is due to Pop-Up software closing the browser when the application performs a maximum screen resize on application start. In effect, Pop-Up blocking software determines this browser resizing behaviour as being a Pop-Up window, and therefore closes it down.

To stop this from occurring, either turn off your Pop-Up blocking software, temporarily allow pop-ups, or add the versaSRS Application Launch URL to the Pop-Up blocking software's list of allowable sites.
